Raps For Breakfast: Dane Lawrence’s Saturday Morning Freestyle Series Returns

Wake up!!!

Dane Lawrence kicked off the third installment of his 10 week Saturday Morning Freestyle Series this morning evoking feelings of nostalgia for all listeners; especially those familiar with the Saturday Morning Cartoon “Schoolhouse Rock”.

In the first Saturday Morning Freestyle series, Dane flexed his lyrical ability over the hottest beats of 2014. Dane followed the initial effort up last year on his 90’s flow dropping bars over some classic instrumentals such as Nas’ “Memory Lane”, Tupac’s “All Eyez On Me” and Jay Z’s “Feelin’ It”.

This year, Dane returns to tackle an assortment of legendary Old School beats with LL Cool J’s “I Need A Beat” first up to get obliterated by the Gourmet God. Listen to the 55 bar freestyle below and also check out the video from Dane Lawrence’s interview with Rel Holla & Mavenue on DTF Radio’s “The Holla Hour” discussing the Saturday Morning Freestyle series and a host of other topics.
